Cambridge, NY - Founded in 1988 as a small family business, Cambridge Valley Machining (CVM) is a precision manufacturing company offering services from design through the manufacture of a product. It remains a family business today, employing 75 full-time employees.
Recently, CVM partnered with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) to develop a product called the ICFS System. The ICFS System is an architectural wall panel designed to maximize solar collection for conversion into energy (both solar thermal and electricity). CVM's specialty niche on this project is the manufacture, testing, and assembly of the components used in the panel.
CVM has worked previously in the manufacture and assembly of solar panel equipment as well as the wind power market.
